Introductory Yoga features 15-20 core poses that form the foundation of the Svaroopa yoga practice. These are the reliable release poses that are woven through all of our classes,
including the Magic 4 poses and others that you will use in your daily practice at home. This class will allow you to ease into the practice and master the art of deep spinal release.
Continuing Yoga will help you further develop a daily practice, and then allow you to deepen your understanding and experience of the Svaroopa yoga dynamic. Specific pose sequences
will help you find strength and stamina, and carry your bliss off the blankets and into your life. You'll practice finding the strength of your arms, legs and abdominals without tightening your spine.
You'll explore standing poses, moderate inversions, classical poses and twists -- always using the reliable release poses as the basis for your practice. These classes are open to all levels.
Classes will begin promptly at the times listed on the schedule. Please arrive at the studio 10-15 minutes early to set up your props and get settled in. The class starts and ends with
a quiet, guided meditation that is best served by a peaceful feeling in the studio. If you cannot arrive on time, or if you would have to leave early, please call and schedule a different time to attend a class.
Before your first class, you will be asked to fill out a registration form and sign a waiver. Those forms will be given to you at the studio when you arrive.
To save time, you can also download and print a PDF of the forms and complete them at your convenience, then bring them with you to your first class.
